Static EliminationApplications Undesirable and potentially harmful static electricity charges routinely occur during production processes involving plastics, paper, textiles, and other non-conducting materials. The presence of these static charges can slow production processes, decrease product quality through the attraction of dust, and create hazardous operating conditions. Haug ionizing products provide a cost-efficient and highly-effective method of increasing productivity and improving product quality through the elimination of the undesirable static charges.
	Ionizing Bars on Webs Haug ionizing bars provide an extremely effective method of eliminating static charges on product surfaces in web-based converting applications. As a result, the web can be operated at a higher speed, productivity is increased, and a safer work environment is provided.
	Ionization on winders allows for faster and more uniform winding of non-conducting materials. The undesirable telescoping effect is eliminated and the finished roll can easily be handled without risk of harmful shocks to the operator.
	Haug ring electrodes, which eliminate the static charges simultaneously from all sides of a product, are ideal for use in vertical filling machines, and in the production of plastic pipes and trim.
	High-speed webs, such as found in the textile industry, create considerable friction, resulting in very high static charges on product surfaces. Haug meets this challenge with ease with a line of specially-designed power supplies and high-output ionizing bars.
